About the artist
artist's Background
Songul Balbay Agir is an artist and textile designer who established the early years of her career in Turkey, the country in which she grew up and obtained her textile design degree.
She currently lives in Arlington, Texas and continues to work as a freelance textile designer.
Her love for art and design didn't just stop at creating textiles. Many years ago, a friend's request of paint a custom portrait of her dog ignited a new passion and a new adventure in creating art. Whether celebrating pets while they're alive, memorializing them when they're gone, or creating one-- of -a -kind textile patterns for companies all around the world, Songul creates each piece with taste and appreciation.
